"The full power and value of RFID is currently unrealized given the limitations of existing systems. SensorConnect is the first product that I have seen that offers full supply chain visibility regardless of size and data volumes. SensorConnect in my opinion is the missing link in RFID."
Dr. Dan Engels
Architect of the EPC Gen Standards
Director of the Texas Radio Frequency Innovation and Technology Center
Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering
University of Texas at Arlington
“The fact that all test results far exceeded expectations shows good promise for the SensorConnect system.”
Dr. Craig Thompson,
Professor and Database Chair of the University of Arkansas
He has held senior positions on a number of large defence projects including the Australian Army's next generation battlespace communication system. He was also responsible for overseeing the software development and overall systems integration of an advanced air defence simulator that allows Army personnel to hone their skills in a completely virtual environment.
Prior to Tenix, Craig also spent several years working with Cirrus Real Time Processing Systems where he was involved in the successful rapid development of an augmented combat system for the Collins Class submarines.

SensorConnect is aware of the current and emerging demands for consistent real-time data collection and access in today's enterprise, government and telecommunications customers.
Companies delivering solutions to these markets require database technology that can meet the data processing demands of these customers while still delivering a cost effective manageable solution.
SensorConnect delivers it high performance real-time database technology to these vendors in an embeddable package that can enhance and augment the capabilities of their products.
SensorConnect's OEM program delivers a complete package for OEM use including support and training to facilitate staff training and education in developing, sizing and tuning the OEMs application to SensorConnect's high performance DBMS.
SensorConnect offers packages for all modern operating systems and hardware platforms and offers scalability from 10,000 ACID transactions per second to 10,000,000 ACID transactions per second to meet the needs of most data centric applications.
Licensing models are available to meet the business needs of most OEMs.
SensorConnect in partnership with SGI offers transaction appliances to meet the transaction processing requirements of many data centric applications. The SensorConnect transaction appliance can support transaction rates from 10,000 ACID transactions per second to 10,000,000 ACID transactions per second to meet the needs of most data centric applications.
The SensorConnect Transaction Appliance support connectivity using standards based technologies like XML and ODBC and supports data permanence using storage technologies like iSCSI, Fiber Channel and directed attached ultraSCSI RAID.
SensorConnect also offers a cost effective hosted transaction backbone service. This service will be offered in conjunction a major ASP allowing enterprises to grow into transaction centric business processes without the major expenditure of a transaction platform. Offerings start at as little as 1000 tx/sec and can grow to as much as 250,000 tx/sec per connecting site.
An example SensorConnect Hosted Offering is the Global Sensor/RFID Backbone.

SensorConnect in conjunction with the University of Arkansas will be presenting the paper, "SensorConnect Performance and Scalability Experiments" at IEEE RFID 2007 Conference being held at the Gaylord Texan Resort in conjunction with RFID World 2007 in Grapevine, Texas, March 26-28, 2007.
This report describes a series of
performance and scalability tests that were run to measure an
alpha release of the SensorConnect system. These tests were
designed to show ingest and query rates of the system typical of
a entire supply chains. The system demonstrated a
peak ingestion rate of approximately 447,000 events per second
without queries. The system exhibited comparable
performance with a balanced mix of queries and ingestion
events.
The Global RFID Backbone is the vision of SensorConnect that is set to revolutionize RFID and sensor data handling
SensorConnect provides global RFID users with a scalable, interoperable, secure solution that provides full visibility of the supply chain in real time from any number of locations.
The Global RFID Backbone is powered by SensorConnect’s own patent pending, high-speed query and ingestion system.
SensorConnect Pty Ltd is rolling out a global backbone specifically for the RFID community in the short-term; and for the sensor community more generally in the medium-term. In order to meet the industrial-grade demands on such a system,
As shown in this paper, the FloodGate system successfully ingested a mixture of real and synthetic events under heavy load. We therefore conclude that the SensorConnect system is capable of ingesting real loads equivalent to the simulated volumes tested so far.
The following presentation provides a high-level overview of how the SensorConnect Global RFID Backbone operates.
E-Business is constantly evolving. As we watch it grow, we find ourselves stumbling into new technologies and new challenges.
